sustainability
Sustainability is an essential part of my photography practice – not an afterthought.
I believe that responsible image-making starts with the way we work, move and store.
My studio is also my home, which reduces energy use and unnecessary transport. All electricity I use – for lighting, editing and storage – comes from 100% renewable sources. My gear is either carefully maintained or bought second-hand whenever possible.
For on-location shoots, I rely on my e-bike Rosi, rented electric cars or the train – depending on the scale and destination.
When it comes to data, I avoid unnecessary storage: images that are not selected by the client or me are deleted after a defined period. No black data, no digital waste. The images I do keep are stored on a home server powered by green energy – secure, private and climate-conscious.
For each commissioned project, I plant a tree through Plant-my-Tree – as a small, ongoing gesture of regeneration.
Sustainable photography isn’t just about the final picture – it’s about how we get there.
